Our cohesion and determination to succeed is guided and influenced by a strong value system
(a) Gender Equity:
We recognise that men and women may have different development needs, necessitating that we take into consideration these differences throughout our engagements so that opportunities are equally distributed.
(b) Disability NOT Inability:
While we appreciate that disabled persons are equal with non-disabled persons before and under the law, emphasis is made on persons with deafblindness who have historically been written off as "good-for-nothing." (c) Multi-disciplinarity:
We are conscious of the fact that development needs of persons with deafblindness are enormous; and that, meaningful interventions call for holistic approaches. We therefore engage the services of professionals from various walks of life to create lasting impact on the lives of the people we serve.
